Stefano Pirrello, BEng, MEng (Geotechnical), MIEAust, NER, RPEQ.
Originating from Italy with a double Degree from the University of Palermo in Construction Engineering and Architecture (Classe LM4), Stefano is now a Chartered Engineer with Engineer’s Australia and has over 13 years’ experience working in the fields of Geotechnical Engineering Consulting and Construction in Australia. Stefano completed his specialisation in the Geotechnical field in 2012 completing a Masters in Geotechnical Engineering at Sydney University. With experience working for both top tier consultants and contractors, Stefano specialises in the design of deep foundations, retaining structures, temporary works (including construction advice), slope stability, settlement analysis, pavement design and many other aspects of the geotechnical field.
Stefano is an active member of the Australian Geomechanics Society (AGS) and he is a Committee Member of the NSW Chapter. For the last four years Stefano has been responsible for the annual AGS Research Award where PhD students are invited (upon selection) to present their work to the industry.
